"Terrible place and rude staff"

About: Poole General Hospital

My mum was accidentally given the wrong time for surgery and turned up at 7am as stated in her letter. After being left for ages she is told theres been a mistake (no apology) and surgery isnt until the afternoon. So she then had to wait 7 hours nervously without being able to eat or drink. I tried calling all day to see how she is but get told to try in an hour at every hour i call! So turn up at 6pm to see her. Im told shes still in theatre waiting for theatre waiting for a bed in the ward so i leave message with nurse to tell my mum i was here. My mum phones me in tears at 8.30 because of the stress of today and my message didnt get passed on. If you can, avoid poole hospital and definitley avoid ward b2!!!

I am sorry to hear of you and your Mum's upsetting experience and that no apology was extended at the time.
