"HASU - Sahara A Ward"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I would like to send my sincere thanks to all members of staff on Sahara A Ward and the doctor who attended to my mother, they were extremely kind.

My mother suffered a mini stroke on Thursday last and naturally I was extremely concerned about her.

From the moment the ambulance and response car arrived, they made me feel at ease.

On arrival at the Queens, we were seen by a doctor/consultant immediately who sent my mother for a brain scan.

On Friday, her speech had returned and she was speaking coherently, thank goodness.

The care and attention that she received by all staff members was outstanding.

They were kind, patient and sympathetic to all our needs.

After a further MRI this morning, my mother is now safely in her own home and under strict advice to rest!

My plans to look after her will now change as I look to reduce my working hours.

Please kindly pass on my thanks to all the wonderful staff that looked after her, they deserve to be recognised for their brilliant skills.

It’s fantastic to hear about your experience from when your mother had cause to visit Queen’s Hospital. It sounds like she received all round great care on Sahara A ward and I am most certainly proud of our teams who delivered this to you, and will of course pass on your thanks and comments.

Yours sincerely Nadeem Moghal Medical Director
