"I feel like the NHS don't care"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I am 31 year old female, 6 months ago i went into urinary retention, i had a indwelling catheter for that time, as i'm also disabled the Doctors seem to put it down to that, they don't want to know. I told doctors that i emptied my bladder before without one and was emptying it until 6 months ago. No investigations done as the answer i was given was that is was my disability causing it. I think this is a load of rubbish. Now they have taught me self catheterisation and now i am not happy, as i need to urinate more than what they tell me. I've been told i only need to empty bladder twice a day morning and night. But by only going twice a day is not acceptable as my bladder needs emptying more than that and is very uncomfortable and bloated. I am the patient i know when i should go but its not working that way. Its like talking to a brick wall, I feel like the NHS don't care. Whatever is easy and cheap for them is what they go by. I am not happy.
