Before surgery I was made to fell very welcome by one member of the surgery team and then meeting another who kept me relaxed on the operating table whilst waiting for the anesthetic.
After an excellent surgery with very friendly staff and waking up in recovery with a third member of staff who was outstanding, talked me through things and got me ready to go to the ward, I then found myself in ward D5 where I was treated by many people all bar one of these were outstanding. Auxiliary staff helped me through a rough patch of pain then no one else was about.
If I wasn't so drugged up on pain killers when I left because I was in that much pain, I would have noted on the feedback form given that the nurse that took over in the morning, had very poor bed side manners and clearly didn't know how to speak to people. They were very rude to my parents when they came to collect me and they were very rude to the other patients in my room at the time. Also I'd like to add that the buzzers by the bed, I had pushed mine because I was in chronic pain, I had been waiting 20 minutes before a passing surgeon came in and asked me whether or not I knew I'd press my buzzer, I'd like to think the nurse was busy but having seen their bed side manner I wouldn't be too sure.
Like I said everyone else that had helped me in this hospital where outstanding.
"Excellent Surgery"
