"Two visits - 5 star treatment"

About: King's Mill Hospital

I am writing to convey my thanks and appreciation for the treatment I received on two occasions this year when I attended at KIngs Mill Hospital. The first visit was to fracture clinic after I sustained a compound fracture of my big toe due to my horse standing on it. The fracture clinic staff were excellent and the Doctor I was treated by was efficient and yet kind in their approach, not an easy thing to do. A big thank you. The second time was after a horse riding accident. I injured my back and did not seek a medical opinion at the time. Three weeks later I was still in so much pain I was afraid something was seriously wrong. The staff in Accident and Emergency were wonderful from start to finish. The triage nurse was exactly what I needed, compassionate, professional and caring. I was so moved I almost started crying. The Doctor I saw was experienced and knowledgeable, listening carefully and then examining me. They explained clearly what the problem was and treated me with medication that worked. I slept that night for the first time in three weeks. The department was busy but at no time did I feel that the staff were hurried. I was in pain and anxious, that was addressed immediately. I am on the mend, albeit slowly, but I felt I had to let others know about my positive experience, how I felt safe in the hands of the doctors and nurses. Thank you very much.
