I was admitted to Ward 46 having been discharged from another Greater Manchester Hospital where I had spent 3 weeks. Having had 5 days back at home I was under the visiting care of district nurses. Had the district nurses not recognized the problem and reported their concerns I would not have been admitted and I would be in quite a serious state - probably minus a leg!
Needless to say I would like to say a massive thank you to them - they were great in every way and very understanding.
My stay in Tameside was faultless. Every single member of staff - be they Doctor, Nurse, Assistant Nurse, Cleaner or Porter were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was carried out with efficiency and courtesy and gave me confidence in the treatment I was receiving.
"Every member of staff was exceptional"
