"Accident and emergency"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

I tried to visit the walk in centre this evening with my daughter. Very poor and confusing signage, main receptionist said "go to a&e, it's in their somewhere" .reception crowded and dirty. Had to take a ticket before even getting to speak to a member of staff.

Gave up after 20 mins and drove to arrowe park hospital on the wirral.

Chester is for life and death situations only.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn of the situation you have described in the Emergency Department. We take all patient feedback very seriously and therefore we would like to use your comments to see what happened on this occasion.

Please feel free to contact the PALs Department on Monday 19 October after 10am on Freephone 0800 195 1241 and select option 2 or email cochpals@nhs.net to give us more information about your experience. This will also give us the opportunity to feedback to you personally regarding your experience.

We hope your daughter has now been able to receive the appropriate treatment and care, and that if she requires any treatment and care in this Trust in future, you will be happier with the outcome.
