"Although I had to come into Leyton ..."

About: Leighton Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Although I had to come into Leyton hospital twice for the same procedure (the first occasion proving more difficult than expected), I felt that every effort was made to rectify my condition on the second occasion even though I had to wait past my appointment time due to an emergency – even the doctor and staff worked over in the x-ray department until my procedure was successful. I was also very impressed with the way that the staff appeared to get on well together and were good-humoured even though they do a difficult job - this made my stay much more pleasant.

What could be improved

From my several experiences of being admitted into different hospitals for different illnesses and accidents, I can think of nothing that could be improved at Leyton (apart from the obvious general problems of short-staffing and under-funding that affect all hospitals!).

Anything else?

Although I had to travel some distance to Leyton Hospital for my treatment, I was well worth the extra time and expense as my local hospital could not be bothered to treat my condition claiming it was not serious enough, although it was causing adverse effects to my life.
