"GP's tone and manner made situation worse"

About: NHS Bury CCG

(as the patient),

I was attending an appointment with the GP practice HCA in her conic room. Having just had my blood pressure checked etc the clinic door opened and in walked a man who didn't knock or apologise and walked towards the drugs fridge. The HCA said nothing! I looked at the gentleman and said I think you should have knocked this is a patient consultation.

His response was beyond appalling- he looked at me and said "Whatever! ! "

I said pardon did I hear you correctly and he just said yes and carried on. I explained how unacceptable that was. He shrugged his shoulders and sarcastically apologised and said it wouldn't happen again, in a tone and manner that made the situation worse.

When he went the HCA seemed very accepting.

I found out he's a salaried GP as if that makes it okay, it does not.
