"acute medicine unit"

About: University Hospital Aintree

My boyfriend fainted and was taken to Fazak hospital 2 days ago. He spend the first night in an observation ward were the staff were amazing, most of them were friendly and helpful. However he had to have antibiotics and one of the nurses wanted to give him oral tablets to try and fight the infection but doctors were arguing with each other to give him a drip. On the 2nd night he was woken up late at night to be moved to the acute medicine unit to be hopefully discharged the next day. I was disgusted with the conditions of the ward, they put him on a broken bed, knowing he just had major back surgery and that he could of fell. Nurses crammed about 6-8 people in each bay of the ward, which was un hygienic, dirty and staff were arguing.
