Well my grandaughter broke her femur, she is disabled, cant speak.
When we got to hospital the care was excellent seen to very quickly. The nurse that went in with my grandaughter for her x ray was great they were moving her leg all over to get the xray and she was crying and the nurse told her not to do that as they got the xray. She was given morphine up her nose which helped.
The consultant was very good I told him that my grand daughter always goes to Queens med, I told him her doctors name and he phoned him straight away as she has brittle bones. He has known her from an early age.
She has had a rod in her spine and new hips as they were crumbling. She has been through so much. We were took up to the ward, everything was ready for her, a side room which is lovely very clean. They transfered her so gently, she got lots of attention.
The play lady bought her a dvd player with dvds and sensory things nurses were great changing her and creaming which you dont see very often all round excellent care.
Her mum and dad were away at the time and they have never left her before so they were very upset as they couldnt get back. But I stayed all day and her auntie stayed at night. I would give this chidrens ward and staff 10 out of 10 thankyou so much x
