I like many, read a number of mixed reviews about the QE, with many friends favouring the RVI and chose it due to location if I'm honest.
My experience started off a little rocky as I was booked into be induced at 9am- having been given first pessary tablet early on was told I'd be reviewed and waters broken at 3.30. Sadly due to a number of emergency c sections this didn't take place.
It was frustrating and stressful as you have to move from one room to the next. The following day 7am the remainder of the induction took place and our little man born at 8pm.
Having looked back now I'm glad that my induction was postponed (was told as it was weekend and evening staffing was low) as the care and attention I received was outstanding. I cannot praise the staff enough- they were professional and genuinely cared. Our midwife put both my husband and I at ease straight away. They did an amazing job.
The after care I received has been brilliant especially on breastfeeding.
I would recommend anyone who is having a baby to use the QE as you and your baby are so cared for. If we are to have any more it will be at the QE no question.
"amazing experience for first time mum"
