"No one answers the phone"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

It's 7.30 in the evening and I'm just trying to get hold of someone to find out about my father who is in the hospital. Main number - diverts to an answerphone belonging to the PA of a doctor. Left a message - no return.

Ring the number on the MAU (a unit in the hospital) simply rings and rings - not even an answer phone.

Unfortunately rather similar experiences at other times.

Thank you for your comments regarding trying to contact the hospital. Our switchboard number, 01892 823535, is manned 24/7 so if you would like to contact the PALS office on 01892 632953 or email mtw-tr.palsoffice@nhs.net with some further details regarding the number you rang we will be able to look into this for you. We were sorry to read that the MAU were not answering their phone, unfortunately there is no ward clerk on duty in the evening to handle the calls on behalf of the nursing staff.
