We were referred to this dept from the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and it was our first visit to the Hospital. From entering the building we were struck by how everything appeared very professional .
It was an anxious time for us-finding out that Ray my husband had prostrate cancer and wondering what the future held.We had always in general lived our lives as healthily as possible and felt that our lives could be altered considerably due to this.
The staff on the ward in Urology were friendly and helpful and you felt that you genuinely mattered. At times like this people being "nice" to you really does count for something.
A massive thank you to Dr Frew and all the members of staff on the ward and also to the people who take the scans . The jobs you do are fantastic and without you all hospitals would be much scarier places .
We were also impressed by the amount of people who volunteer and help so much to keep the wheels turning.
Good luck to you all and thanks again!
