"A&E"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I went to A&E due to having an accident on the stairs and hurting my big toe. I could not but weight on it or pressure or even touch it. I was in pain and could not walk. Though I was surprized as I was seen very quickly. I went and it was hard to walk and a doctor walking by got a wheel chair for me witch was helpful and kind. When I was waiting and got seen, the nurse was very rude and wasn't the least bit gentle when examining my toe. The nurse was not very nice and made the pain a lot worse. Then I got an x ray and every thing was good. Service was good apart from that 1 nurse.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to comment and to apologise for the treatment you received from one of our nurses. This is not how we expect our staff to care for their patients. I will share your comments with all of our A&E team to prevent this unacceptable behaviour from happening in the future.

I sincerely hope that your injury is now improving.

Sandra Iwanoff

Accident & Emergency Senior Matron
