I recently underwent surgery, including the required preparatory requirements leading up to the operation on 28 September 2015. During each stage I was treated with great respect and the procedures were both professional and efficient; moreover, the attitude displayed by the various staffs was friendly and receptive.
I am well aware of the criticisms constantly levelled at the NHS; however, based on my sole experience, I can only express my sincere appreciation for the speed and manner in which my requirements were conducted.
It is always difficult to single out specifics in such circumstances; however, I should like to offer a special mention to the staffs in Bibury Ward who ensured that my stay, albeit short, was handled in such a professional and friendly manner. I would like to offer my particular thanks to the nursing staff on duty, for making my stay so comfortable; nothing was too much trouble.
If this represents typical NHS treatment please accept my congratulations.
With renewed thanks
Peter Hilton
