"Acute stroke unit"

About: North Devon District Hospital

An update to my previous post. Mum unfortunately passed away last Friday. The care my mum and the whole family received on the unit was the best I have ever witnessed in the NHS. Every single member of staff from the doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, cleaners were so friendly, professional and went out of their way to make sure mums final days were as comfortable as possible. The management should be proud of the unit and their committed staff.

Dear Relative

I would firstly like to offer the Trusts condolences on your sad loss and thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the website, especially at what is obviously a very sad time for you and the your family.

I was pleased to learn that your mother's care was so compassionate, and that she was made as comfortable as possible during her final days, and I have shared your feedback with the Stroke unit manager, who will in turn share your comments with the ward staff, where I know they will be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks
