"Cystoscopy"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

The care given by the staff could not be faulted.

But was horrified to be sharing changing facilities with male patients , all of us with open backed gowns, I found this more traumatic than the procedure itself which was fine.

Surely Salisbury hospital can do better than this.

Thank you for your comment. While we are pleased that you could not fault the care given by our staff, we are very sorry that in this particular case we have changing facilities that are used by male and female patients and for the obvious concern this has caused you. There are two cubicles and our staff usually call male and female patients in separately to get changed, which does not seem to have happened in this case. However, you have raised an important point and we will look at how we manage male and female patients better in the limited space that we have in this area.

In the meantime, we would like to apologise again for the discomfort you have experienced.
