"Waiting times"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was sent for a pelvic ultrasound in august and received a letter yesterday for follow up appointment on the 16th december. Is it normal to wait as long?

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear worrier,

I can only make a few presumptions based on so little information but I do agree this seems a long time to wait. Is the follow-up a clinic appointment? Will you get the results then? (That would be too long to wait for them). I would like to look into it for you. If you would like that, please call me on 01563 826222 or email me at Eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk

Best wishes
Eunice
