My wife has just gone into ward 12 for a hip replacement and from the minute we went in at 0700 the staff-one nurse-was very stressed, and rushing round before his shift ended to do opps, which he did on two patients one of them my wife. The other ones that were not done, 2 of them were going to theatre before my wife and they had then to rush to get ready for the surgeon to see them,so their blood pressure must have been up.The surgeon came to see my wife-Mr. Ridge-and he was the bright thing of the morning, good man. After the operation I went to the hospital at 1400 hrs.,and my wife was smiling and not in pain, but before I left she started with pain-after the anaesthetic wore off,When I went back at 1830 hrs. she was in agony and I asked the nurse-only one to look after 16 patients- she said a Doctor had not signed any prescriptions, and she only got pain relief just before I left at 2000 hrs.I know it is not the nurses fault but they should get rid of nearly all MANAGERS and employ more nurses
