"Gastroscopy"

I attended Highgate hospital as a referral for a gastroscopy. I was greeted at the main desk and shortly afterwards taken to a private room with bed and television and wi-fi. Everything was explained to make me feel comfortable. The nurses were friendly and pleasant. The consultant was very reassuring so that I didn't feel nervous. Even though it was not a pleasant experience, the theatre team were so calm and capable that the whole procedure was less stressful than I had anticipated. I was given the results straight away and allowed a welcome cup of tea after an hour's recuperation.
