"Superb treatment, excellent experience"

On each of the 3 occasions I attended the Dental Hospital, between July 29th and September 21st 2015 I left counting my lucky stars that I've been able to access such a wonderful service. We are constantly bombarded by criticism of the NHS, but my whole experience at the Dental Hospital was flawless.

The time taken from referral by the Dental Practice I attend, to receiving an initial appointment at the Hospital, came 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting.

On arrival, each visit, I was able to park right next to the hospital for just £3, payable at a paypoint that took cash and cards, so no worry about having the right change.

All staff, bar none, were friendly, approachable and helpful, everywhere was spotlessly clean with hand hygiene points at doorways ( why don't the public use these more often ? I saw so many patients walk past and not bother, we have to do our bit in combatting infections too ) and on each occasion my appointment slot was right on time.

During my diagnosis appointment the Dentist was very understanding about my work situation, the fact that I work away from home and am self employed, so only get paid when I work and my future treatment was planned around the few dates I knew I would be back in Manchester.

The Nurse who did my pre procedural appointment was marvellous, put me totally at ease and I left them feeling full of confidence for my wisdom tooth extraction.

On the day, I received a call from a nurse asking if I'd like to attend earlier due to the cancellation of the previous patient - a bonus for me. The procedure was carried out by a dentist with two nurses in attendance and as a nervous patient, they made the world of difference to me as they all were so kind and friendly and kept talking to me throughout so I didn't get a chance to get worked up and stressed. There was absolutely no discomfort with the procedure and I've not had a moment's trouble since. My partner, who was with me was equally impressed by the service and all the lovely people making this hospital work in whatever capacity they are employed.
