"Response to the opinion about a deaf nurse and patient"

I read the article about a deaf nurse and deaf patient with great interest. Firstly, can i point out that I feel that the deaf patient was not discriminated against as I would have thought that a patient suffering a seizure would be offered a drink, unless you mean after the seizure. I would think that the hearing nurse did not know how to communicate with the deaf patient, in which case perhaps the deaf nurse should have intervened. I am surprised to hear that you are the only deaf nurse in the world because funnily enough, I am a qualified adult nurse with two years experience with a profound hearing loss. Please do not let your hearing get you down and if people think you are joking, then fine, you will always find some ignorant people in the world, but not everyone is.
