About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

Due to the high pressure in my eyes i attend the eye clinic on a regular basis. I have of late found the service to be very poor and i can honestly say I have no confidence in the care provided.

My last appointment was in August and was told I would need to be seen again in November. As I have not yet received an appointment I have spent most of this morning trying to contact the eye clinic to arrange one but can get no answer. Obviously my eye sight is of little importance to the NHS but as you can understand it is of great importance to me and therefore I feel great frustration at not being able to contact the clinic, it is also very worrying that my eyes maybe deteriorating and not monitored correctly.

We are extremely sorry to learn that you are having great difficulty contacting the Eye clinic at Eastbourne DGH and we're concerned that this is causing you a great deal of worry and frustration.

We would suggest that you make contact with our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS).
