"Wi-fi warning!"

About: University Hospital Wishaw

(as the patient),

I spent an unplanned 6 days in Wishaw General and after the first day two of my accounts were hacked and others changed my passwords to block my access.

Luckily I do not do online banking.

Still a worry while being ill.

Dear Gerio,

I’m sorry to hear of your recent hospital admission, I hope you are feeling better now.

A guest wireless service is available for use across a number of NHS Lanarkshire premises. We don’t ask for any personal information of people accessing this service. A message is displayed explaining user access, which then allows individuals to decide if they want to use the service or not; in the same way that you would access most other public wireless services. I can only apologise for any inconvenience you experienced.

Kind regards

Rick
