"Cannot Get Through on the Phone"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

Absolutely hopeless. My father-in-law passed through A&E to being admitted, and all I wanted to do was call the hospital for some information. Several times I was cut straight off, sometimes I got through some auto options before the call was dropped. On one occasion I spoke to a real person who abruptly just tried putting me through to somewhere else without warning me.... only for me to be cut off again.

I'm sure somebody is paid a very high salary to be responsible for the level of service provided to patients and visitors.....

We are very sorry that you experienced difficulties getting through to our Emergency Department. We hope that you have managed to speak to a staff member about your father-in-law but please do contact our Patient, Advice and Liaison Service direct on 020 3594 2040 should you need any further help.

Your feedback is really important to us and we have shared this with the Trust Switchboard Team so that they are aware of this.

Kind regards Barts Health NHS Trust
