Referred to orthopaedics at Monkland hospital in December 2014 for an ongoing problem I had with my spine. Eventually received my appointment in late January/early February 2015. Had to get an MRI scan done as Iwas told there was something wrong with my leg". MRI scan carried out late February 2015. Had to wait until May for follow-up appointment, should have been 2-3 weeks after scan but it was over two months. My report from my MRI scan was received and placed in my folder in March. I was then referred onto neurosurgery at the new Queen Elizabeth hospital. I told orthopaedic surgeon about other symptoms I was experiencing but they never passed these on to neurosurgery. If they had been made aware of these new symptoms, I would probably have been seen a lot sooner than late July. I ended up having to get another scan done as the previous one was too old and I received surgery within a fortnight.
