"TIA"

About: NHS Highland (Health)

(as the patient),

After an 'event' I was referred to Stroke Unit.

I saw Dr. Finlay. His friendly manner relaxed me immediately. I had a procedure performed on my neck to check that there was no 'debris' in my arteries. In Dr Finlay's investigation he picked up a symptom of Pernicious Anaemia and I was consequently given treatment for it at my Doctor's Surgery. My general health has improved greatly. Back to the TIA, My Doctor has prescribed me two medicines which now keep my blood pressure at the ideal level. The staff in the Stroke Unit are all efficient and friendly. Thank you for the opportunity to express my thanks. My treatment reminded me of my Granny's Scottish highest praise by understatement- 'Somebody here kens whit they're dae'in'!

Dear Wee Josie

Sorry to hear you have not been so well but glad you are on the mend and happy with your care and treatment. They are an excellent team in the stroke unit in Raigmore Hospital. I am also sure your own GP will take very good care of you.

Thank you so much for feeding back which I have shared with Dr Findlay and the team. Do please let us know if you have any pointers as to anything we can improve on.

Maimie
