AMU;
Ward 9B; CT & MRI and St Paul’s 2nd – 4th September 2015
I write to thank the staff of the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (Prescot Street) for the admirable care and attention given to me on the occasion of my emergency admission with a suspected cranial tumour earlier this month.
From the moment that the porter collected me at the door, I was immediately given the very best of treatment, first of all by the doctor and a junior doctor in AMU, then the CT scanner and X-ray staff, followed by the nurses on Ward 9B, another doctor and their junior doctor as well as the MRI scanner staff and the ophthalmic Doctor at St Paul’s, even though it was almost 7pm on a Friday, by then.
Throughout my two-day stay, I could not have been cared for in a more professional or compassionate way. Even my follow-up visit to St Paul’s Orthoptics department with Hilary Woodward on 7th September was on time and my treatment excellent.
Having been treated in “The Royal” twice before, I can only say that I have the greatest faith in all you do there and every reason to be thankful that the people of Liverpool and beyond have such excellent medical facilities at our disposal.
And … anyone who complains about the food at The Royal must be very peculiar indeed. To be offered such choice, twice a day, is beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.
With many thanks,
Yours faithfully,
Raymond Redfern
"Excellent Treatment"
