"A visit to A&E"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I visited my GP initially with a heart that was beating very fast. An ECG was taken at GP surgery and my GP decided to call an ambulance after trying to slow my heart down. No blood pressure reading could be recorded .

Ambulance staff were very helpful as were the nursing staff at A&E. However, two doctors saw me and neither said their name and talked about my symptoms as though I was not there.

I found the doctors on

A&E impersonal and lacking any sort of human touch. Also, the senior doctor said to their junior colleague that my heart rate that an ECG had recorded was incorrect as my heart could not beat at such a fast rate.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. I am glad you found the ambulance and nursing staff to be helpful, however I am sorry you found the doctors to be impersonal. We work hard to provide a good quality service in our A&E department so it’s disappointing to hear you experienced this. I will pass your message on.

Kind Regards
