"Friendly care"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

Following a 999 call an ambulance was sent to collect me.

I'd had a road bike accident near Buttermere during a triathlon.

2 paramedics drove me to hospital and looked after me.

They were very caring and friendly.

I felt very safe and the paramedic engaged me in conversation throughout the journey which relaxed me and took my mind off the pain.

They were both fantastic.

In A and E the staff were warm, caring and professional.

I had complete trust in their care.

Thanks to all of the staff.

I am sorry to hear of your accident during your Triathlon in September this year. I do hope you are recovering well.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience> I have passed your comments regarding A&E to the Matron for the area and will inform the Ambulance Service too.

with very best wishes for a speedy recovery

Helen
