"Outpatients wait"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I'm currently still waiting 30 minutes after my appointment time, despite being the first appointment of the day.

I explain every time how difficult it is for me to fit coming in around work and I've had to leave twice before without seeing anyone after waiting over an hour on both occasions. It's completely unacceptable.

We are sorry you have had this experience when you attended our clinic. Appointments are made at regular times for each doctor's clinic. Occasionally, extra patients, usually those who are very poorly, need to be seen with some urgency and this can have an impact on the smooth running of the clinic.

Update posted by Patient14852 (the patient)

I've been going for over two years, I have never been seen on time it's not an occasional problem.

It is something that needs addressing as its now made it so I can't go to appointments in the future as I'm missing too much work.
