My partner has been diagnosed with a double hernia, he has never been to hospital and only been three times to a doctor in his life, he is 67.
I have huge trouble persuading him he needs the op.
He received an apointment letter, a few weeks later he received another letter and in the envelope were appointment letters for three other patients.
I immediately rang the number on the letter from the appointment clerk and was given another number for the Custom Relations Manger. Ringing this number countless times I realised it is pointless as they give you a very difficult email address and ask you to leave a message. So I left a message and emailed. Result - nothing.
By this time I am not even surprised. Yesterday we received three more letters in the same envelope changing the details of the appointment. I wonder how many more letters we will receive before the appointment on the 15th october? btw I still have the letters for the other patients, name address etc
No one seems bothered or interested at the Lister that this is happening.
Apparently people are accused of just not turning up for appointments, so I hear from colleagues - no wonder if others are receiving their letters.
Meanwhile I have to persuade my partner he can trust the doctors to operate on him. As he says, he has absolutely no confidence
