My daughter had a horrid fall at nursery and sustained a big thump to her head.
Nursery were great, cold compressed it and after a discussion with 111, I was told to take her to A&E within an hour.
As we are already under Paeds direction at St Peters I took her to the A&E.
She was assessed really quickly, given some meds and we were observed for a few hours.
Saw an amazing Paed Doctor that really put me at ease and really interacted with my daughter.
Being a first time mom, I am always worried that I am being pedantic when I go into A&E but was told that even if an adult presented the injuries that she had, they would want to access them.
I was a leaflet about monitoring after a head injury and was told if anything should change to call 999 and get an ambulance to bring us in right away.
She is happily playing today with her toys with a big bulleye bruise on her forehead but in good spirits.
