"Most caring hospital I have ever been in"

About: Park Hospital

It's exactly a week today I was at this fabulous caring hospital for left total knee replacement.

From the moment my husband & I walked in the reception area that morning,we felt welcome.

The receptionist booked me in and within 5 minutes I was taken to my room on Ruffard Ward.

Where I was greeted by staff on duty and shown to my room.

It was like a five star hotel. Towels in the bathroom and guest soap.

Air conditioning, TV Radio, a wardrobe and plenty space.

Also a comfy bed with sheet and quilt.

Excellently clean.

Staff was always there for my needs and to reassure that I was in a caring environment.

After all forms were filled and my consultant and anaesthesia had been to talk to me I was asked if I would like to walk or have a wheelchair to go to Theatre

I was greeted again by the Theatre and recovery staff all the time reassuring me, was a really calm atmosphere.

My consultant and anaesthesia was talking to me all the time during my operation.

In recovery staff made sure you were comfortable and warm till took back to my room.

All nurses and sisters would knock on my door introducing themselves by their first name and tending to my needs.

I could have my door open or closed depending how private I wanted to be.

Meals were fabulous. The menu of choice is excellent served by excellent staff.

Consultant visits everyday including Sunday's.

I was asked every morning if I would like a paper.

Physio therapist was available everyday.

There is a big conservatory were you can sit with comfy chairs and sofas and free coffee tea ect facilities.

I will highly recommend this hospital to my family and friends.

Thank you 100% for everyone's excellent care during my stay.
