What I liked
The overall ambience of Springfield Ward is that of caring professionality mixed medical excellence. I spent two months on this ward and at NO TIME did I feel that my welfare was ignored or undermined. The ward was kept exceptionally clean. The catering staff and the food were both excellent. I had some pretty emotional times on the ward and the staff handled me in a sympathetic but appropriately professional manner.
What could be improved
The communication between different medical teams.
Anything else?
I can assuredly say from the minute I had to call for an emergency ambulance - took only 5 minutes to arrive, to the second I was taken under the care of A&E. Then the whole time I was on the ward that my opinion of Rochdale Infirmary staff, policy and procedure could not be higher. It is all too easy to say that "this" or "that" doesn't work etc. I had a chance to see the overview over a two month period and the verdict is "Well done" Rochdale Infirmary!!!!!
