Sadly my appointment letter didn't mention that I would be admitted as a day patient - apparently I'm not the only person to have an appointment at the ultrasound department who's not been given the full info by the admin department. Get your finger out admin folks - it's distressing enough to have procedures but more so when you aren't given the full info on what to expect.
The DI Unit staff kept me fully informed of all aspects of my treatment and were all friendly, helpful and most professional. Sadly worked off their feet ... but that's not their fault.
With such fabulous staff working on this busy unit it was almost a pleasure to spend a day there! Almost ...
