"Waiting patients"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

Just like to thank the staff in A/E it was sad to see that as I was waiting in the waiting room and heavily bleeding

I noticed many cases that really did not need to clog the A/E and could easily stayed home or waited for their GP. Even still people waited and were seen as it was their turn. I was bleeding heavily and because of the time wasters my wait was long but that's only because we live by a system. All the staff were helpful and once inside and triage saw I was genuinely unwell I was placed on a stretcher but was seen by the doctor on my turn and then admitted although the wait was extremely long I still would like to show my appreciation to all the staff... Especially one nurse in particular, they made the night as comfortable as they could for me and apologised about the delay in being transferred to AAU.

I am home now and recovering but wish people respected the NHS a little more and see what pressures some of the staff are put through.

Thank you for your comments.

The A&E department is always busy and unfortunately this creates long waits.

I am happy you had a positive experience in our department and will be sharing your comments with the team.
