"Amazing quick thinking team"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

I went into Basingstoke hospital for a scan at 41 weeks which showed my baby had become breach. I spoke to a consultant and it was advised I needed a c-section. I was taken to the ward and spoke to the lovely anaesthetist who explained the procedure making me feel calm and excited I was going to meet my baby soon. The whole time from start to end the anaesthetist was professional and kind. You put your life in their hands and safe to say they all came through, during the section as my daughter was coming out, I had complications which involved my heart stopping, and needing CPR, I was totally unaware of all of this and woke panicking to which the whole team in that theatre was amazing and reassured me my baby, partner and i was ok. I actually cannot thank them enough they saved my life! I was taken to hdu and looked after by a lovely team there. Once on postnatal we were allowed a private room so my partner could stay with me the whole time. The midwife's, nurses and doctors had no idea why what happened to me did but they were all amazing. Thank you for doing the jobs you do. Thankfully I'm all ok now and I wanted them all to know how safe they made me feel. Thank you guys! P.s my ribs are fine ;)

Thank you for your feedback regarding our maternity services. I am always pleased to read heartfelt comments, like yours, on the care and treatment patients have received, which goes to show how big a part teamwork plays in patient care. I have shared these with the teams involved and I am sure they will be delighted and greatly encouraged by your kind words.
