my close friend was admitted to this hospital after suffering with a severe infection - whilst here for a period of 2 weeks he was moved around at least 4 times and then on his final ward, he was wrongly administered with the wrong medication on 2 occasions, on numerous occasions he had bloods taken, only to find that they didn't need to take them because they had been taken by the staff earlier in the day, he became a human pin cushion with no diagnosis, the worst part of the stay was when the night staff came on and failed over the course of 3 nights to administer his pain medication resulting in reducing a strong grown man to tears and stripping him of his dignity letting him beg for help, they rarely refreshed the patients water jugs, they let people lie in their own faeces and one nurse even slapped an old gentleman on the backside and pulled his pyjama bottoms up tighter so the faeces spilled out then shoved him back in his bed and told him to stay there until she was ready to deal with him......if the staff find their job such a hateful chore why not let some of us genuine caring individuals take their positions......their actions were inhumane......I can only hope that there are angels watching over some of these patients to keep them safe!!! On the upside there were some lovely staff members who put their heart and sole into doing a good job its just the vile few that give the whole setup a bad name.
