"My misscarriage"

I was 8 weeks pregnant and went to a&e with bleeding. When I was seen I was told I would have my bloods taken shortly after I was moved into a cubical and was seen by the doctor at this point I was told I was going to have a internal examination. This was my first pregnancy so I was unsure what would happen. I wasnt told about how this procedure would work or reassured.

I thought the examination was disorganised with not having the correct equipment in the room meaning the trainee had to leave to get necessary items, this made me feel very vulnerable. I was then told I had lost my baby without my partner being present. When I was told I had lost my baby this was using medical jargon which when I was visually distressed was unsettling and confusing.

My bloods were then taken by a nurse from another ward. However this lady was really understanding and caring towards us and was the only person to talk us through the process of what would happen next. Throughout this experience multiple staff came and went and continually asked us why we were in the hosptial and we therefore had to explain more than once the bad news we had just recieved. We was told we would get a second opinion from a consultant and recieve a scan from the early pregnancy unit however we never recieved any of this and we was discharged without any further information.

The situation we was experiencing was emotionally and physically difficuly for myself and my boyfriend without feeling the care we recieved was unsympathetic and inadequate.
