"No bedside manner"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

I was due to attend a colposcopy appointment, in which I had to cancel 3 times prior to the most recent one because of irregular menstrual cycles. I had requested the appointment through my GP as my family has a history of cervical cancer and breast cancer and for my own sake I wished to investigate into my cervical health, only being 22 I knew it went against WHO guidelines, but my GP agreed to refer me to GYNO, because of my family history. When I attended the clinic the DR who saw me was arrogant and confrontational, and I was absolutely disgusted with the way they spoke to a young woman in that vulnerable of a position. Long story short, it didn't go ahead as the consultant did not believe I should be an exception to the rule and basically told me it would be a waste of their time. I have never felt so patronised and belittled. So after walking out, I balled my eyes out and made a complaint.
