Having been referred by my GP for an urgen 2week appointment for possible cancer, I was seen exactly 2weeks later.
Following a very brief consultation I was advised by the Consultant that I would be seen again in 1 months time to discuss the results of the requested biopsy.
The biopsy itself took 1 month to arrange, and I was advised that results take 2-3 weeks, and I would be sent the results by post, and also an appointment for 1 month to discuss the results with the Consultant.
No results received after more than 3weeks but on telephoning was told that results are not sent by post but in any case they are not back yet.
Told that best thing to do is to attend appointment in a few days time, on a Saturday afternoon! when "hopefully" (words of person I spoke to) the results would be back.
All irrelevant as this appointment was cancelled without explanation, at 4.55pm on Thursday, and I was advised a further appointment will be sent for another 2 weeks time.
This will be a total of 10 weeks from initial referral, that is if this appointment isn't cancelled as well
Appalling treatment which does not instil any confidence whatsoever, especially if any treatment may be needed.
"Appalling treatment"
