My father had a short stint on ward E3 (also brilliant) but then 4 weeks on E1 after suffering a stroke.
He is 91 years old, poorly sighted and almost deaf with Parkinson's and then he had a stroke in August.
All the staff on E1 were fab - they were brilliant with my dad, treated him with huge respect and I have absolutely no complaints about his care at all.
Any questions I asked were answered and they did all they could for him to make him comfortable and, although very busy, they always took their time with him.
He became very settled there.
On E1 one of his hearing aids was lost and Audiology were the only fly in the ointment at Stepping Hill, being of no help at all and my dad is still without that hearing aid which is no doubt hindering his progress and now he has been moved elsewhere.
He is too frail to make an ambulance journey back to Stepping Hill in 2 weeks for an appointment about his hearing aid.
