"Ward 22 LRI. Something has to be done"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

Spent 2 days on this ward and I have never experienced anything like it. There is a great lack of the understanding and the communication of the English language which I am sure must lead to mistakes being made. I was discharged not knowing whether I should keep my dressings dry or whether I should remove my dressings. Hence not having had a shower since coming out of hospital! I did ask a Staff Nurse and they freely admitted that they did not know what I was saying because their English wasn't good.

I will be writing a full report re my stay and my fears for other patients many who are old with dementia symptoms, when I find a suitable contact.
