I would to thank all the staff in A&E (esp one Doctor and the Consultant ) and the acute medical ward at RLI where I have had 2 recent admissions. On the second visit it was very aparent how friendly and caring the nursing staff were and how they made particular efforts to recognise you by name and to tell you that they would see you tomorrow when back on shift.
A great example of consistent care.
One particular nurse staff was exceptional with bedside manner and care, as was another member of staff. They made efforts to keep positive and friendly throughout the day, despite a very busy full ward. I felt at all times clear on what my treatment plan was and did not have to wait long for scans and diagnosis. In A&E I was impressed with how quickly they diagnosed my condition. I would also like to recognise the Urology consulting team who work in a very 'joined up' manner. In between in patient visits I had 1 visit to outpatients where i expresses my concerns about pain. They were able to swiftly offer me to come on to the ward whenever i felt i could not mamage my pain at home. Their advise was always consistent and i saw several different doctors, which was very reassuring. Carry on the great work, I had such a positive experience and very proud to have such a great hospital in our local area. Well done
"Thanks for great, proffessional care...."
