"How I was treated at the Emergency Dental Clinic"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Emergency Dental Service

(as the patient),

I attended the Emergency Dental Dept. recently and was seen very quickly by a young lady dentist. She examined and xrayed my mouth and explained, in detail, what the problem was and how it could be resolved in two ways. She showed me the X-ray and explained why I had been suffering so much pain, even after seeing my own dentist on two occasions in the two weeks leading up to my visit To the Dept.. She agreed that she would be able to extract the offending tooth there and then. Throughout my visit she explained everything clearly and was most pleasant and courteous throughout.

Dear Leroy,

Going to the dentist can be a difficult experience for some, so it is particularly good to read that you felt so well cared for during your recent visit to the emergency dental department.

From your comments it is good to see that you felt that you were involved in deciding the most appropriate treatment for yourself and that you were very happy with how this was conducted.

Regards

Ian
