"Kidney stone whilst pregnant!"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

I can not be more greatful to the staff at SDH for looking after me. At 37 weeks pregnant it was discovered that I had a 1cm kidney stone. I had fantastic care by all the teams involved and they worked cohesively to ensure me and the baby were safe during all procedures. The Consultant in particular was extremely thorough and I felt that I was informed at all times. All the other staff respected that breast feeding was important to me and worked around this during my stay (be it the way the procedures were carried out, what medication I could take or keeping my baby close at all times.) Brilliant work by maternity, ureology and radiology!!
