"The carers come in and cheer me up"

About: North Ayrshire Council - Three Towns, North Coast and Arran

(as a service user),

You get down in the dumps if you can’t get out the house. It’s good I have carers coming in every day. I try to do as much as I can for myself, I want to stay independent. The carers come in the morning and make me tea and toast, they come back in the afternoon to check everything is ok and then in the evening to check again. They also make sure I take my medication.

This morning I got into a state trying to get ready to come to the day centre. The lassie that came in is a gem, she came right in to the kitchen and got things organised. The carers are awful, awful good to me.

Some days I get really down and get myself stressed. The carers come in and cheer me up, they make me a cup of tea and stay to have a blether.

Dear greatgranny

Thanks you for your kind comments regarding your carers. I am glad the carers continue to support you while allowing you to maintain your independence and that you also enjoy their company

Kind regards
