"Excellent care received at RAH Paisley"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 21-23) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I had a bad fall in garden and although I managed to get back on my feet with the aid of my husband and a neighbour I was then in excruating pain and unable to move.

Unfortunately due to the pain I cannot remember individual names but everyone involved in my treatment, ambulancemen, paramedic, nursing staff, doctor, porter and x-Ray technicians treated me with the utmost care. I can't thank them enough for their professional, caring attitude which was tinged with good humour creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Every part of my treatment was fully explained to me and everyone went out of their way to try to avoid causing me further pain.

Dear Back injury

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I was sorry to hear about your fall but glad to read your positive comments about the care that you received.

As well as your comments on the caring, professional attitude of everyone who was involved in your care, what stood out for me was your comment about all of your treatment being fully explained to you. It is so important and as your story highlights, can provide great reassurance.

I do hope that you are recovering well and thanks again for sharing your experience.

Take care

Martin.
